In the following, we interview Zeydoun Alzoubi and ask him about his ideas on decentralization in Syria.
We want to find out how decentralization can be implemented in a country that suffers a brutal war and a heavy legacy of centralized autocracy. We further ask him about positive changes decentralization can bring about. Will it pave the way for more autonomous regions and democratic administration, or will it above all cause confusion?
